Spencer J. Wellborn

Spencer J. Wellborn joined Spector Rubin, P.A. as a law clerk and transitioned to an associate after his admission to The Florida Bar. While enrolled at the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Wellborn specialized in supply chain management, maritime law, and international trade. In his time as a member of the Spector Rubin team, he has represented global logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, third-party logistics providers, indirect air carriers, and non-vessel operating common carriers from pre-litigation disputes forward, including comprehensive contract review and analysis, as well as litigation strategy.
Mr. Wellborn has extensive experience defending logistics service providers and customs brokers concerning administrative proceedings, notices of action, detention and seizure as well as mitigation efforts and prior disclosures with government agencies, including Customs and Border Protection, Transportation Security Administration, and Bureau of Industry and Security. Further, he has represented and defended logistics service providers in investigations and actions brought by the London Metal Exchange.
